I have been painting, drawing or crafting since I was about 10 years old, but once I found "Tole" or "Decorative" Painting with acrylic paint, I never looked back. I enjoy painting florals, animals, scenes and whimsical patterns on wood, tin, canvas, glass or fabric, often recycling items that others would consider "junk", and turn it into a lovely, usable or decorative piece, often "one-of-a-kind". I also design painting pattern packets for other tole painters that do not draw themselves, but have learned to paint and follow a pattern. My shop will have painted items, some painting supplies, as well as some home decor items and collectibles. I welcome custom orders for wall signs, welcome plaques, garden signs or name plaques.
Dawk's Art shares space with Well 2 Do, 4448 Queen St., where you can find 'Esthetics for You and Your Home'. Hand-painted one-of-a-kind gifts and furniture, as well as plush for the children. Painting classes for beginners through advanced painters are also available, with limited seating. |
